Fold / Unfold

In my practice, folding and unfolding are gestures of both craft and contemplation — acts of concealing and revealing, holding and releasing. Whether shaping books, garments, or sculptural forms, I see each fold as a trace of touch and transformation, a quiet testimony of becoming.

Working with reclaimed fabric, thread, and paper, I am drawn to what has been discarded or forgotten. Through slow, meditative acts of cutting, stitching, and binding, I participate in a process of redemption — restoring beauty and meaning to what was once overlooked. This rhythm of renewal reflects my faith: that brokenness can be reimagined, and that grace often works through the humble and handmade.

Art, for me, is inseparable from spirituality. The making becomes a form of prayer — a dialogue between hand and spirit, matter and mystery. In the spirit of Eastern philosophy, I approach this dialogue not as an act of control but of surrender, allowing the material to speak its own truth.

Each work, in its folding and unfolding, mirrors the sacred rhythm of life: concealment and revelation, death and renewal — the continual unfolding of grace within the ordinary.
