Duality

My work navigates the in-between — the tension and harmony that exist within duality. Rooted in both Eastern and Western sensibilities, my art seeks to weave together opposing forces: the sacred and the ordinary, tradition and innovation, fragility and strength, body and spirit.

Through fabric, thread, and stitch, I explore how something humble and domestic can become a site of profound meaning. Sewing becomes both an act of repair and revelation — a way to reconcile what has been divided. Each piece holds contrasts that coexist rather than compete, reflecting the layered nature of identity, faith, and womanhood.

In this dialogue between opposites, I find a quiet equilibrium. Duality is not a conflict to resolve, but a dynamic balance — an ever-shifting space where beauty and brokenness, belonging and estrangement, meet and transform each other.
