“Web of Life” is a concept I pondered as I worked with the entanglement of threads in my art. At first glance, the threads may appear tangled and chaotic, but within that apparent disorder lies a unique beauty and an intrinsic order. We often approach nature and art with preconceived notions, understanding only what fits within our mental frameworks. However, the astonishing order within these perceived tangles transcends our simplified perceptions.
Consider the structure of bones or the microscopic world visible through a lens. These mysterious aspects of the world may seem chaotic, but they possess intricate, organic structures and relationships. Unlike the realm of natural sciences, where I am merely an observer and appreciator of nature, engaging in art has allowed me to perceive the beauty of nature’s realms—both micro and macro—through a fresh lens. As an artist, I feel a renewed sense of wonder at the interconnectedness and elegance of these structures, which previously appeared unrelated to my artistic practice.
In the process, I have discovered that the natural world’s beauty is not just to be admired from a distance but also intimately connected to the creative process, revealing a profound sense of unity and wonder.
